In a season known for leaves, it's easy to leave the pumpkin out if the picture.  But the pumpkin just happens to be one of autumn's most under celebrated gems.  Their very presence contains enough of a visual impact to add an element of aesthetics not otherwise possible this season.

The variable nature of pumpkins make them both portable and practical for all forms of fairies.  For fairies suffering from creativity disorders, the simple act of placing a small pumpkin in an otherwise plain outside area.

Of all expressions of autumnal glory, few compare with the prestige loveliness of the sheet-like layers it spreads throughout nature.  Carpeting is a cornerstone of this kind of layering. Known for its incredible hues and boldness, autumn carpets are probably one of the season's most popular features.  This natural beauty's power has transformed many a skeptic into a beloved friend by surrounding them in forest floored with gold.  Carpeting provides a backdrop for all of the natural components that work together to exist as a forest.  While beautiful in itself, carpeting accents the beauty of each part of the forest.  This season is no different.  Here are some of the styles of carpeting you're bound to see in show floors and forest floors across the northern hemisphere.

Deriving its name from the vivid color of the sunset, this style is explosive and most commonly associated with the season.  The depth of orange is beautifully and intricately featured by this style of carpeting.

Would we have any of the other hues without those which are celebrated by this style?  The beauty of brown is featured by Earthy Elegance.

Despite the seemingly unflattering name, this form of carpeting is a favorite of many.  It's a combination of all of the previous styles, favoring neither, celebrating each.

Do designers have Swiss cheese on the brain this fall?  Not at all!  This season's designs are accented with an unobtrusive design enhancement known as lace nibbles.  These tiny little dots really add a touch of the natural decay which fall represents without giving a sense of impending death.  They put a little bit of glamour in the gloom while adding enough realistic gloom to what can easily become an overly glamorous.  Better yet, they're incredibly simple to create!

How to Lace Your Own Leaves

Adding lace nibbles to your own decor is extremely simple.

You'll need:

  • caterpillars, or similar leaf-eating creatures
  • several buckets of pollen from plants hated by whatever species of caterpillars you have
  • a windy day

Here's what to do:
  1. Standing upwind, release hand fulls of the pollen into the wind and onto the leaves you're wanting to lace.  Be sure that the pollen coats the leaves well while leaving some spots with little or no dust.  These areas are where your holes will be.  If the wind causes the pollen to coat the entire leaf evenly, you can wash some away with bird tears or cricket saliva.
  2. Release the caterpillars onto the leaves.  They will eat the spots that are not covered with the dust.  If the entire leaf is has a generally thick coat of dust, and if the caterpillars are particularly greedy, you'll probably find some attempts at eating spots that are not as thickly coated with the material.

Make it Look Realistic

It's easy to go overboard with a project like lace nibbling.  Throwing pollen and watching caterpillars eat can be a fun thing to do.  If you're not careful, you may lace an entire tree with nibbles.  In order to make it look realistic, don't riddle a single leaf with thousands of holes.  Keep the number of holes lower to make the lacing appear absolutely natural.

Spreading autumnal majesty throughout the world can be both fun and simple this year. Each year, billions of fairies celebrate the beauty of God's creation each year by decorating the world.   But in the midst of family, work,. and personal life, decorating the home can easily be placed on the back burner.  Fairy Home Living offers some of the best and most popular choices for decorating this season.  Rather than foraging for what may or may not be the best choices for decorating your abode, choose from Fairy Home Living's excellent pre-picked selections.

The very nature of autumn can seem depressing to many unenlightened fairies.  The time period of watching the world die its yearly death saps much of the joy from many a rosy cheek.  But autumn is not a time of dying.  Rather, it's a time of explosion.  It's as if the world were using its last bit of energy to go out with a bang.  Consider the silent fireworks of the forests, their myriad of hues an expression of the inert elegance of every individual tree.  Think of the dance of silent, feathery seeds as they make their beds in the warm ground before the cold hand of frost reaches them.  They sleep there throughout the season and await the warmth of spring to extract them from their shells.  Autumn truly is a beautiful time of year.  Join in the festivities enjoyed by billions of fairies at the turn of every season.  The beauty of creation awaits you.
